Kate Freeborn is manager of course media at Capella University. Freeborn’s passion for educational technology and background in publishing have been put to good use during her eight years working in course media creation and content strategy. She has worked to pilot and implement various delivery models at Capella to help offer affordable, high-performing, digital content to learners. She has a B.A. in Peace Studies from St. Olaf College and an MFA in creative writing from the University of Minnesota. Freeborn lives in Saint Paul with her two daughters and husband where she spends her time walking around all those lakes, growing tomatoes, and reading lots and lots of eBooks.
As vice president of solutions and services, Sarah Riddlebarger ensures that Ed Map’s Platform-as-a-Service offerings anticipate and respond to client and market needs. Riddlebarger leads Ed Map’s support, solutions, partner management, and product management groups. Her teams work with partners and clients to develop content strategies, and to architect, implement, and support Ed Map solutions. She began her career managing properties and serving students with Ambling Management Company’s student-housing division. Riddlebarger earned her undergraduate degree in English Literature from Ohio University, then topped off her liberal arts grounding with an MBA from OU as well.
Shannon Meadows is currently serving as a strategic adviser to ED MAP, a content strategy and logistics company. She is also the founder of Iris Creative (www.iriscreative.net), advising client executives on go-to-market strategy, sales leadership to build and reinvigorate businesses. Throughout her career, Meadows has been instrumental in leading technology companies to market dominance in the education space culminating in successful equity events for investors. She has held executive leadership positions at Macromedia/Adobe, Blackboard and CourseSmart. She has served at WCET on both the Steering Committee and Executive Council since 2006. She holds a B.A. from the University of Texas at Austin and also attended the University of Copenhagen and Claremont McKenna College.
