Shirley M. Adams is the provost at Charter Oak State College (CT) and has both a Ph.D. and Masters that focus on higher education administration. She has over 40 years of experience in adult and higher education ranging from adult basic education to teaching masters in adult education courses to being dean and then provost. She has worked in public adult education, community college, state department, private college and public college settings. She has led the student authentication and academic integrity effort on her campus.
Rhonda Epper is chief academic and student affairs officer at the Colorado Department of Higher Education. She also currently serves as Interim Provost for Community College of Denver. Previously, she served as regional director of the State Authorization Reciprocity initiative at WICHE; and was with the Colorado Community College System for 12 years in various roles. She served as Assistant Provost, where her responsibilities included development of academic innovations across the system's 13 community colleges, major grant initiatives, policy direction for online learning, curriculum management, statewide transfer/articulation, and research/planning for academic affairs. She also served as co-executive director of CCCOnline, a statewide online learning consortium serving 45,000 students annually. In addition, her roles included management of systemwide consortial initiatives, such as the Learning Technology Council, Enterprise Learning Management System, 24/7 Help Desk, and Digital Textbook programs. Epper served as a fellow with the EDUCAUSE Center for Applied Research, and is a board member of NCHEMS.
